Educators using STEM from the START lessons in the classroom report high levels of engagement and retention of content. STEM from the START lessons and materials are available at no cost to anyone interested in engaging young children in STEM learning.

Featuring kid-friendly animated characters called Quinks, STEM from the START nurtures and focuses students' natural curiosity and love of discovery, while laying the groundwork for ongoing success in STEM.

Phase One of the STEM from the START initiativewas launched in 2016 on this website, and is focused on the physical science and includes:

• Four online lessons with accompanying Discovery Guides covering Materials,Motion I, Motion II, and Temperature
• Four 60-second STEM from the START short breaks that air on New Hampshire Public Television channels during children’s programming.

FUNDING NEEDS

Phase Two of the STEM from the START initiative will expand physical science lessons and cover sound, light and shadow.

Phase Three of STEM from the START initiative will expand to life science, earth science, environmental science, life science and space science.

SPONSOR LEVELS

SUPPORTING STAR LEVEL – $20 - $9,999 Supporting Stars are recognized at the end of each video lesson episode, in the Discovery Guides, and on the website.

SOLAR SYSTEM LEVEL- $10,000 and above Credit at end of each of the online episodes (“…with additional funding from…”), logo on STEM from the START website, print materials, and two interstitials
